After reading this small post, I realized that I'm pretty much on my way to a simpler lifestyle, in this case when it comes to Self-Maintenance. By reducing the number of steps we do to achieve something we are saving our time to something more important or even just for some more relaxing time.

I’m already a pretty low maintenance kind of girl, but I wanted to go through The Everyday Minimalist’s self-maintenance simplify guide anyway:

1. KEEP YOUR HAIRSTYLE & CUT SIMPLE
My hairstyle is pretty simple, nothing much to it. Sometimes I like to cut it straight, other times I like some layers.. but it all ends up in a short bob or a shoulders length cut. Since forever I always had to straighten my hair every day, but two weeks ago I decided to do something about it.. so I went to the hairdresser and got it professionally straightened. It's supposed to last for 6 months or more, and I must say that doing my hair every morning is now a pretty simple task.

2. SIMPLIFY YOUR MAKEUP
I never was a makeup girl.. but I did wear a lot of foundation for one simple reason, my acne and acne scars. But now I got rid of that heavy foundation and only apply a BB cream when I have an event, the everyday makeup consists on pretty much eyeliner and mascara, maybe some lipstick.

3. USE UP WHAT YOU’VE BOUGHT
I'm actually doing this right now. I'm trying to finish all my products (shampoo, makeup, face cream, etc) so that I can start buying some organic stuff. I already have a lot of organic alternatives, but there are still a few products that I need to finish up.

4. SIMPLIFY YOUR ROUTINES
My beauty routine is pretty simple, in the morning I wash my face, apply moisturizer and a dark spot serum. When I get home I wash my face once again and do the same thing. When I take a shower I wash my hair and exfoliate my body and face with my homemade coffee scrub.

I think you can write a post with all the products you have, like a list.

    1. Hello Mery
Thank you so much for your lovely comment =)
I'm planning on doing an updated beauty routine, with all of the products names and where to buy them, but until then, you can see some of the products I use in the Beauty section on the blog (http://tomorrowatdawn.blogspot.pt/search/label/Beauty)

  4. Great tips!
I'm trying to simplify my morning routine. I'm going to start waking up earlier and I don't want to get up 1 hour earlier just to do my beauty routine. I need something much more simple and quick. This post will help :)

    xo, Emma.
