Minimalists only wear neutral colors, yep that's true, but it does not have to be. If you want to be a minimalist but love to have color in your wardrobe don't loose hope, just because most of the minimalists prefer basic colors it doesn't mean you can't be a minimalist and still have a colorful wardrobe.

There are different ways you can add color into your wardrobe and I'm going to give you just a few tips and examples on how you can accomplish that:

+ Define your color palette. You need to know which colors you like and look good on you, otherwise, you will end up with a bunch of pieces in the wrong color palette and you won't look good in them.

+ Look at what you already have. If before you declutter you see that you own a lot of pink and purple, then you know that those two colours are probably colours that you love and look good on you.

+ Add colours using accessories. You can add pops of colours using scarf's or bags or shoes, and still keep a basic colour wardrobe, it's like the best of both worlds.

+ A statement coat. Choosing a piece of outerwear that will give you the pop of color that you need is also a great way to add color into your wardrobe. A big yellow coat could be you signature look for the Winter, and everyone would recognize you from miles away.

For me, personally, I like to keep my color scheme neutral, but from time to time I do find an accessories or a pair of shoes with a pop of color. I have been coveting this one bright blue bag for ages, but I still haven't got my hands on it. I also love printed scarves, but I still haven't found "the one".

  1. I love all the pieces you picked here! <3 My wardrobe is mostly neutrals in clothes, bags and shoes but I have a few beautiful & colorful scarves. I get so many compliments on them. That bright blue bag sounds beautiful and will definitely be a statement piece!

    1. I don't wear a lot of scarves, I gave only 2, but I love them to death.
I like to add colour through bags or shoes!
But a beautiful scarf is always a great accessory to give a touch of colour to any outfit =)
