I decided to make a list of my Top 10 items that never go out of style, in my opinion of course. This are also my essentials to create a perfect wardrobe, with this few items you can create an amazing wardrobe with pieces that will stay in style for a very long time, if not forever.

Black skirt: I prefer a short skirt, not a mini skirt, a bit longer then a mini. I wish I looked good on a pencil skirt, but since I don't I opted by this one.

A pair of Flats: this is a must, any colour will do. Black is the basic, so definitely you need to own a pair of black ones, and then you can buy some with colour or embellishment.

A "dressy" jacket: this is one of the pieces that I love the most, especially this one from Isabel Marant. I have one really similar to the Etoile Isabel Marant and I love it.

A great Overcoat: this is a must piece for those cold winter days, once again I choose a Isabel Marant coat, because I think that it really is one of the best coat I've ever seen.

Knit sweaters: on the topic of keeping warm, knit sweaters are really in this season but in my opinion they will be forever in fashion because of all the different outfits you can make with them by layering other pieces.

Striped shirts: this is so Parisian! It was my most worn piece on the Spring and Summer last year and is going to be again this year.

Black pants/jeans: a basic that most of you may own so I don't think I have nothing to say about it, I think owning a pair of this is just.. common sense.

A nice bag: I love this Céline one, of course that this may just be for the evening because it doesn't fit a lot of things in, but still its an amazing bag.

A white button down: once again, common sense, in my opinion. But I also have to say that not everyone looks good on a button down, but still, its an important essential.

Boots: this is one pair of shoes that I would die to have and that I would never go out without.

The Gentlewoman Magazine

I don't normally buy magazines, at least not anymore, I feel that they are a waist of my money and that all they have to offer I can easily find online. But this theory of mine does not apply to this amazing magazine! The Gentlewoman is one of the most amazing magazine I have ever seen, and I'm currently trying to buy all the Issues that I can. It's a bit hard to find them and they are a bit expensive (with shipping and stuff) but I'm doing all I can to have them all in my hand. And maybe you guys can help me get them all. So if any of you know where I can order all the previous issues of the magazine please help me! I will be eternally grateful.

I'm such a Gold obsessed! All my jewelry is gold and now a gold skirt, what next? I'm going to my dad's house this weekend and I'm thinking of dying my hair.. I'm thinking Chocolate Brown, and I also want to do a Ombre hair, but I don't know yet. Maybe for now I will just go for a lighter brown and then maybe I will ombre it. Do you think it would look good on me? I need some advice.

I never thought that I would own a Chanel bag, but a trip to my grandmother's closet make it possible. Actually I'm not sure if this is a real Chanel bag, but it's still a great find! It has a weird smell but that's normal, being in a closet for years and all, but I love it! And is one of those things that is unique and that I know that no one will have a bag like this, well probably.

This boots were made for walking

Even though this boots have a couple of years, they are still one of my favourite pair of shoes. You may have seen them in a lot of my outfit posts. They are one of two pairs of shoes, with heels, that I own that are extremely comfortable. It's almost like walking in flats. I bought them at H&M for 20 euros I think and they will be in my closet for as long as they last!

I found this amazing video on Facebook, and with it I found out about an awesome website called LisbonLovers. It's basically a website with things you can do around Lisbon, it has everything, from Restaurants to Museums, Music, Night Clubs. It's still evolving so it doesn't have a lot, but I already found some things that I will be doing, like going to CCB to the Antiques Fair.

This video made by LisbonLovers is like... perfection. A few things that I Love about Lisbon are: the people, the music on the street and the entertainment, the stores, the monuments and statues. And you? What do you love about Lisbon?

Burgundy and White

Today was a Burgundy day. This is one of my favourite colours and I love the way it looks on me. The white jacket was on Sales on Zara and it went down from 79,95€ to 12,95€, it was such a bargain! I never had a white jacket before, and after seeing some amazing outfits with white jackets and blazer I decided that I had to get one for my own, I have to say that I got really lucky.

My goal for the next couple of months

For the next couple of months I will be achieving a goal that I'm dying to reach, and I don't know why, but I think that this is the year that I will be accomplishing more things with my life. And for starters I'm going to loose some weight and start eating right! No more junk food, no more sitting at home for hours just looking around the Internet. Those days will be over and I will live my life as well as I can.

I think that by loosing some weight I will be able to be more confident and fell better with my body. I'm not that "fat" (I really don't like that word) but I most certainly should shape up. So starting tomorrow I will give my life a turn for the better. I decided to blog about this, because when I write it's almost like an incentive for doing it. I'm also going to share a list of some things that I'm thinking of doing to obtain the results that I want. I only need to loose like, 10kg, so I don't think that it's going to be that hard.

Here's the list:

1. Drink 2 liters of water a day

2. Drink warm lemon water ( 1 glass in the morning and 1 at night )

3. Eat my meal in smaller plates

4. Do 30-45 minutes of exercise every day ( check out this website )

5. Spend less time on the computer

6. Try to drink green tea ( I'm not a tea fan )

7. Don't eat Chocolate or other delicious but evil treats.

8. Enough with the chocolate milk, you are not a kid anymore ( I will substitute this for a hot chocolate once in a while )

I finally finished this corner of my room. Before this I had an ugly bench were I would place my bag and other things, like my scarf of the day. Now I added a hanger to my shelf to make the perfect place to put the bag that I used during the day. It looks much better now, without that ugly bench to cover my Eiffel Tower stencil.

One of the best movies I have ever seen. I don't usually watch french movies, but this one I was dying to see. So last night I watch it and I was amazed. I didn't realized how difficult her life had been. I cried a lot at the end, it was so amazing. I always heard the name Chanel and I always thought that it was just another expensive brand for rich people, but now, knowing the story behind the woman that made all those amazing creations and see how she got all the fame that she has now is really impressive. She was hurt for all of her life and she still found the strength to make some magic! It's really amazing.

And the fashion, the simplicity of her clothes is so amazing! I see myself wearing all her clothes. I fell in love with this movie and it's going to the top of my list of inspirations.

I'm so glad that I decided to go to Zara on a last minute impulse today. I'm really glad with the things that O bought, and although I shouldn't be spending money, I just couldn't let this things pass me by. I have to say that my favourite item has to be the Navajo Pants, and I can't believe that they only cost me 7,99€, the original price for them was 25,99€ so I got a really good deal with them. The room cleaning day

Today I went back to classes, oh boy it was so boring, I don't even want to remember. So I spend all afternoon cleaning my room and choosing what I need to buy for the room, like boxes, candles, a new lamp for the ceiling, a chair so I can sit and read, some flowers, etc etc. I'm glad to say that my room is almost ready, like 100% ready. I have been decorating it for like 6 or more months, it has been so long because I had other things to do at the same time, but now I'm almost finished with it. So in the next month or the other I will be making a room tour.

On another note, I'm going to buy a new phone tomorrow, I'm going to buy the Samsung Galaxy Gio. It's a good phone for a good price and I already went searching for some apps and I found some that I just love! I can't wait to have it in my hands!

From now on, my first stop when I go shopping will always be a Secondhand Store, going there is like opening a birthday present that you don't know what it is, is always a surprise when you find an amazing piece of clothing for an amazing price.

I finally got the time to go to the secondhand shop, I bought some really great stuff that I will show you guys tomorrow. Carnival is almost here and I spend the afternoon helping my grandmother arranging the store were she is going to sell the Carnival costumes that she made. Se used to rent them, but as she says "I'm getting to old for that!", so she is trying to sell all the costumes.

A new way of shopping

I have been dying to make a post about this, although I already talked about this subject. So I'm talking about Thrifting, or as some say Secondhand shopping. This may gross some of you because you are buying clothes that other people have already worn, but fro those who don't mind this, I have to say that is the most amazing way of shopping. I started thrifting on the end of December and I can't get enough! I found amazing vintage pieces and some new pieces from very good shops like Zara, for amazing prices.

So now I will share some tips that I think are essential for the art of Thrifting:

1. Go often: go as many times as you can, I go once a week at least. They get new things every day so you will find some new things every time you go there.

2. Make a list or an inspirational collage: this is a thing you should do for Thrifting or for normal shopping, always know what you are looking for and try to find that, not things that you probably don't need.

3. Don't be afraid of big sizes: I talk about this with personal experience. If you see a jacket that you like and is too big, just try it on, sometimes it will fit really good, and other times with just a few adjustments it will fit you. An example of my own, is a blazer that I bought that had really big shoulder pads, so I just removed them and now it perfect.

4. Go with a friend: is more fun to go shopping with friends and they can also help you find things. If you go with a friend that knows you very well, you can find things for each other.

5. Be careful when cleaning the clothes: yes don't make the same mistake as I did. I washed a jacket on the washing machine and it shrunk. Read the labels if the clothes still have them, and if they don't try to find what kind of material they are made of, or just take them to be dry washed.

So I hope I helped and I hope you will give this new way of shopping a try, because believe me, you will not regret it! I'm thinking of going Thrifting tomorrow and try to find some pants, because I really need some. And after that I will make a post with all the things that I have bought while thrifting for the past few months.

Is this chocolate? Did I died and went to heaven? Yes I think I died indeed! This amazing chocolate shop in Brooklyn, New York is just amazing! This amazing shop in called Mast Brothers Chocolate and it has such amazing chocolate that you wouldn't want to leave the shop anymore. The prices of the tablets is a bit high ($8 a tablet) but it's like style and chocolate all mixed up together!

So for anyone of you guys that is thinking of going to NYC anytime soon I really recommend stopping by this amazing place and try their chocolates.

This is the most amazing Paris guide I have ever seen! It may not ha as much things as the other guides have, like all the shops and all the restaurants, but it has the most beautiful photographs of the city and a lot of amazing things to do around the city.

Guide Paris exists since 1996 and it's made by people that travel the world every year, but always come back to Paris and would never exchange Paris for anything. I'm starting to fall in love with this new colour trend, especially the mint green colour. It looks amazing when combined with white. I'm completely in love with this three pieces of clothing, I think they are all from Zara but I'm not sure, I just know that I'm dying to buy a mint button down and a pair of shorts, with the pattern of the skirt on the image, I think it looks amazing.

I'm so in love with this sweater, the colour is beautifull and the shape of the neck is just amazing! I said I was going to buy them, and so I did. I went for the first time to the Blanco on Baixa Chiado and I have to say that I was really impressed. They have amazing things there, I was not expecting that, so I will definitely go there there next time I'm going shopping.

Now that I have this amazing shoes on my possession I will never take them of again! They are amazing, the heel is not to high and they don't hurt my feet, the colour is nice as well. I still prefer the Isabel Marant ones, but while I'm not rich this ones will do perfectly.

For those who don't know, Parseltongue is a Harry Potter reference (the language of serpents). The shirt that I'm wearing on this outfit reminds me of a snake and I immediately remembered Harry Potter. So I finally made an outfit post, you will see a lot of more outfits on the blog from now on, I'm going to stop being so lazy and take more pictures for the blog.

The blazer and the snake print shirt are two items that I bought on a secondhand shop, yes the Blazer is from Zara and it only cost me 4€!

I was on Blanco website today just looking around some things on the sales and I found this amazing pair of shoes! They are so similar to the Isabel Marant ones, but in a different colour. I prefer the colour of the Isabel Marant boots, but lest be reasonable.. I can't afford those, so this ones from Blanco are just like a gift of heaven!

I know that i shouldn't buy anything for a month, but I just can't not buy this amazing shoes, I just can't! So first thing tomorrow, I'm gonna go to the Blanco shop and try them on and hope that they are comfortable, because I would not buy a pair of shoes that would hurt my feet, no matter how amazing they are.

I found another fashion influence for me. Giovanna Battaglia! She is the editor of L'Uomo Vogue and a freelance stylist. She made the transition from successful model to editor at the age of 28. The former D&G model is best known for her risk taking fashion style. She likes a combination of shades and patterns and is often seen as a revolutionary style icon.

I love her style and I love that she's not afraid to take risks, and better yet, that those risks look amazing. It's truly an inspiration for me to start taking some risks of my own and play around with my clothes.

I bring another amazing online store. I'm really in love with the Designs of the clothing, they are really simple and minimal, just the way I like them, and the colours are also excellent. There is a new trend on the air.. Neon. I honestly don't really know how to react to this trend, I like it, but I'm not sure if I would be able to wear so much Neon on a normal day on the street. It's fine when a fashion icon does it, but for a "normal" person I don't think its appropriate. Maybe some accessories or a bag, or even just a jacket with a nude outfit, but never from head to toe. What's your opinion on this trend?

Friday the 13th just gave me bad luck

So I never believed that Friday 13th was a bad luck day, but after today I most defiantly do! The jacket that I bought yesterday just got shrunk on the washing machine. My mom went to my room and decided to wash my clothes as she normally does and she took the jacket to wash it, but I knew that it probably should be washed on a dry cleaner, but since I didn't seen her take it she washed it on the washing machine.. and now is ruined!

So class, what did we learn today?

1) don't let your clothes just anywhere so your mom wont find them and wash them, and then ruin them

2) never wash a jacket on the washing machine again!

Here it is my last purchases that I made on December.. no shopping January remember ? Well the only thing that I bought this month was the H&M hair ring. I have to say that I'm extremely happy with the things that I bought on Sale this season, and with the things that I found on a Second Hand store called Humana.. can you believe that I bought the jackets for 10€ each (and one is from a very expensive brand Cortefiel) and the Zara shirt was only 4,5€! This were some fantastic finds.

I'm also really happy with my Tweed blazer, I have been wanting to buy one for a very long time now. And the Jewelry.. oh the jewelry is perfect! I love simple jewelry, and since they started to sell neck cuffs I have been forever addicted to them!

Finally it belongs to me!

I found it! I finally found it! I'm so happy right now! After searching all the H&M store on Baixa Chiado I decided to go to Colombo and I found it there.. for only 3,95€ this beauty came home with me.. I already tried it on and it looks really nice, although my hair is short it still looks much prettier than having a normal elastic to make a pony tale.

New years resolutions

✽ Finish my room: my curtains are still missing, I have to find a good lamp, make some covers for my books to make them look all pretty and stuff, buy a chair to sit on and read.

✽ Go to the Museum more often: museums, expositions, historical monuments.. things like that. And also go more times to the theater.

✽ Have a planner and actually use it: this is going to be a huge essential.. I mean, next semester I will have to try harder then I have ever tried and still make posts, and take pictures and start the Second Hand shop on the blog.

✽ Spend less time on the computer: yap.. I have became addicted to stay online doing nothing, watching movies and series.. the outside awaits me.

✽ Find a job: this is super important. I really need a job so I can finally make my own money and start saving for London, and other trips that I want to make.

✽ Focus more in school: as I said.. I need to give 100% at Uni next semester so I can finish my last year of studying.

✽ Stop being so lazy: get my ass of the chair and do stuff. Go for a walk, make plans with friends that I haven't seen for a long time... just so something!

✽ Do exercise: this is one of my goals until summer, to loose at least 10 kg. It might seem a lot, but when I start to feel good with my body I will stop even if I haven't reach the 10 kg goal.

✽ Go to the cinema more often: one thing that I really enjoy doing is going to the cinema, but I don't go very often, so in 2012 I have to go watch a movie on the big screen at least once a month.

✽ Spend less money, save more: I don't have to say a lot about this.. I'm already doing it.

✽ Go thrift shopping: to be able to save more money I will be buying a lot of my clothes on Charity shops. I save money and I donate it at the same time.

✽ Buy the Time Out magazine: for obvious reasons.. to do stuff and stop being lazy.

More goals for this year may be add in the future. This are the ones that I remember at the moment.

I found this amazing blog a while ago that is called Advanced Style and it had made me fell in love with what my future can be, the person who said that dressing up was only for young people was very very wrong. At 21 years old I now hope for the older years were dressing up can be a blast, even more that it is now.

I wish that when I'm older I can be as stylish as this woman's are. I wish that I will still have the courage to play around with bold colours and crazy prints. And I will I will still have the courage to play with the makeup as well.

Yes that's right. To start 2012 with the right foot I decided not to shop for a whole month, and if this goes well, I will do a No Shopping February as well. I know its going to to hard but I want this year to be the most amazing year I can have. I want to focus on things like University, Travel and my friends and family. I will use the money that I will save for my trip to London.

There are only one thing that I have to go buy before my month without shopping, and that is a pair of Loafers from ALDO. After that no more money will be spend.

Wardrobe planning part one

A few months ago I made the first post on my Wardrobe Planning series and I haven't made a post since then. So with the new year just around the corner I decided to get back to it.

Part One of this series is on the topic of Outerwear -- Blazers, Coats, Cardigans, etc. I have quite an obsession with blazer as you probably may know (or not) so my wardrobe has more blazer then anything else. I trying hard to stop this obsession of mine and after today I think that I can say that my Blazer collection is finally complete, I already have all my essentials: Tweed blazer, Black blazer, Velvet Blazer, Blue blazer. And I also have a few more that are not in my Blazer essentials.

Now I can concentrate my shopping energy on trying to find the other Outerwear Essentials that I need. This path is half way done, I already acquirer a Trench Coat, a Classy Cardigan and a Classy Coat. On this season sales I will try to find my Oversize Coat in a dark colour, I already have one in red but I got it from my Grandmother's closet so it doesn't really count. Also I have to start buying basic cardigans to layer with my clothes.

So to resume my Outerwear Basics, we have Blazers, Trench Coat, Oversize Coat and Cardigans -- add one or two classy things and you get my basics when it comes to Outerwear. I'm hopeful that with just this things on my list I will be able to stop buying Coat and Blazers for a long time.

Alexander Olch -- Knot Yourself

This video is amazing! Now I can proudly say that I can tie a tie. I think that every woman (and maybe girl) should learn how to do this. I always love when in movies the man asks the wife or girlfriend to tie his tie, I think that is super sexy when a woman knows how to do this. So thank you Alexander Olch, for teaching me this. I will be forever thankful.

So Watch. Learn. Master. Repeat. Because a crisp four-in-hand is made all the more essential when you leave the house without your pants.
